Neither Donkey Nor Horse

Neither Donkey Nor Horse is a Student Academy Award-winning and Academy Award-nominated short film directed by Robin C. Wang. We were entrusted with crafting an animated opening sequence that encapsulates the film’s thematic depth and symbolic historical period.

Collaborating with renowned Thai animation directors Jay Asava and Jin Jindawitchu, we developed the sequence from the ground up. Using Blender, our team meticulously handled modeling, texture mapping, photography direction, animation, and post-production—including compositing and color grading. Drawing inspiration from traditional Chinese ink artistry, we infused cinematic elements to reimagine this timeless aesthetic within a modern storytelling framework.
